Synopsis:
Directed by Lee Daniels, "The Paperboy" is based on the 1995 novel of the same name by American author Pete Dexter. It tells the story of a reporter (McConaughey) and his younger brother (Efron) who are investigating the events surrounding a murder to exonerate a man on death row named Hillary Van Wetter (Cusack). They are enlisted by Charlotte Bless, a woman Wetter has never met but who has fallen in love with him and is determined that he should be released and that they should marry, thus she is determined to prove Wetter's innocence.
