Melanie Amaro - Long Distance

It has been quite some time since we have heard from Melanie Amaro, Season 1 winner of “The X Factor”, but the young singer is back with a new song titled, “Long Distance” after her extended hiatus.

“Long Distance” comes as Amaro’s 3rd offering following her debut single, “Don’t Fail Me Now”, which was premiered in July of this year and “Love Me Now”. To date, “Don’t Fail Me Now” has barely made a thud on the charts, peaking only at number 8 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart. Both tracks are expected to be featured on her debut album ‘Truly’, due sometime in 2013.

Over the dance-pop track, Amaro belts, “I want you to be/ More than a picture on my screen/ I don’t have a choice/ Can’t live without ya.”

With Amaro’s huge voice, I’m not really sure why Amaro’s label is pushing her in the dance/pop route. However, the full song won’t be available for download on December 11th, so we must save our full judgment until then.
